For many years Dave Parkes has been your authorized InsMed representative to administer Group Disability Income (DI) and Guaranteed Issue Individual DI insurance benefits for CIR members.
Our team at Parkes Financial Group is now authorized to expand our reach and help virtually all Resident Physicians at Highland Hospital to access Guaranteed Issue Individual Disability Income (DI) insurance protection.
What is Guaranteed Issue DI?
Guaranteed Standard Issue DI (GSI-DI) is individual DI protection that requires NO medical history screening and NO income verification. This is income/paycheck protection you can carry with you throughout your career no matter where you work. Our expanded program is offered through Parkes Financial Group and underwritten by the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. Guardian is a premier provider of DI protection for Physicians throughout the nation.
Even if you have a pre-existing medical condition(s) that might preclude you from getting the DI protection you need, our expanded GSI-DI program makes it possible for the vast majority of the Interns and Residents we serve to secure their Individual DI insurance protection including special discounts only available during residency.
Dave Parkes administers the existing CIR Group Disability benefit for Medical Interns and Residents at Highland Hospital. Those covered under this plan will have some benefit until graduation. However, our expanded GSI-DI program now makes it possible for virtually all Highland Residents, union and non-union, to obtain critically important individual income protection during residency that lasts throughout your career.
